Why I Created 3s League

Growing up, basketball shaped my life and was my therapy. From winning multiple championships at Mater Dei to playing at UCLA, the game gave me confidence, lifelong friendships and life lessons I still carry today.

But after years of coaching, I kept seeing the same problem — kids were getting overlooked in 5x5 as they got older. They weren't touching the ball enough, weren't building confidence and were losing the joy of the game as the focus is only on winning.

I created 3s League to change that. I wanted to build a place where every kid gets real opportunities, develops the skills they want and most importantly — continue having fun playing basketball. Because when kids are smiling, competing and growing, that's when the game is at its best.

Blake Arnet

Former Mater Dei & UCLA Basketball Player

Blake was a 4-year varsity player at Mater Dei High School, helping the Monarchs win 4x Southern California titles, 2x CIF championships and 2x California State championships.

As senior captain, he led his team to a 35–1 record and #5 nationally ranked before continuing his basketball career at UCLA as a preferred walk-on, turning down smaller Division I scholarships to stay closer to home.

During his junior year, he earned a full scholarship and was honored with UCLA Athletics Rose Gilbert Courage and Character Award for starting an online fund in honor of his mom after she suddenly passed the summer before his sophmore year.

He is also the creator of Dunk MS (2018–Present), the world's first charity dunk show, hosted at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion, which has made a lasting impact in the fight against MS in honor of his late mom, Brigitte.
